Spring Will Come....?

The first snowdrops of the year!!

I was so excited when I found these little things just poking their heads out of the dirt.
It calms my mind that spring will be here soon. Winter is hard and cold. It's difficult for me to make in the freezing weather. The clay get's soggy and there are slim pickings around for natures impressions into the clay.
It's been easier this year though cause I'm in the house now (much to the amusement of my fellow potter friends who say I'm now a sissy). But it's nice being able to get work made and dried in a reasonable amount of time rather than waiting weeks and weeks. Particularly as these first few months of the year are when most of the work for at least the first half of the year needs to get made.

I've been organising myself with exhibitions and shows and things are booking up already. It looks to be a busy year, 2013!

I've also started doing a year long project that I'm really excited about. I don't want to divulge too much as it needs to be all completed before I put it out there. But it's a purely artistic exploration really that I hope will work as an entity when it's done.

I'll give you a clue.....

Any ideas?

Also the Sales' still going on in my Folksy shop and there are many gardening items greatly reduced to make way for the new year stock that should be coming along soon.

These Ladybird Plant Markers and others, have a look http://folksy.com/shops/CatsCeramics

It get's me dreaming about being in the garden again. I can't wait to get out there. I've started thinking about what we might grow this year.

I'm liking this idea of swathes of fennel and borage tumbling over the place.

Arrhh bring on Spring.....please....
